My neice is doing so much better. She has a trach, and is weaning from the ventilator. She is awake, trying to talk, and joking. She said she is lucky and blessed. That is so true. Thank you all for your prayers and comments....I feel like I can breathe a sigh of relief.

I am so sorry to be reading this upon my return. I am sure that because of your background you are having a difficult time going through this. It sounds like she has made a turn for the better and I am glad to be reading that.
So sorry about what happened to your niece and so happy she is doing better and praying for a complete recovery. You and your niece are in my thoughts and prayers.
