My Thought and Mine Alone
I rarely comment on controversial issues. I try to get along with everyone. Having said that, I am about to throw caution to the wind and give an opinion. If you need to carry a gun to go into a bar "For Defense", maybe you shouldn't Go into the bar. Those are my two cents....What's yours?

I agree with you totally Beverly. No one should have to have a gun in their purse or a gun on a man's hip. Memphis is a dangerous place so they better think harder about throwing themselves into a bad bar.
So very much agree with you...doesn't make much sense at all!!
PS. I LOVE your photo of the chairs in the yard/garden!! Instantly took my breath away to see the same green chair that we had when I was a child!! The same ones I mention in this piece I wrote a while back...

Guns + drinking = are these people crazy?
Have enjoyed reading your blog which I found thru Time Goes By -- we have so much in common as I'm recently retired, have 2 children born on the same day (but mine are twins) & 3 grandkids which are the delight of my life.

E, I knew you would be right there with me. I heard the comment on the news about how some felt they needed a gun when they went to some bars, and I though, duh!

I pay taxes so that others carry guns for me and I avoid hanging out in places that might need a use of guns. If I need to drink to excess, which has not happened for decades, I will keep it to myself.
