Laura

Tomorrow I go to the funeral of one of my former co-workers from the Newborn Intensive Care. We nurses are a tight knit group and this is the first death we have had among us. She had cancer and worked until this summer. She loved her family, friends, and all of the babies she cared for. I am very sad right now, but, I know her last days were hard and I am thankful she is no longer suffering.

So sorry for the loss of a close co-worker. This time before the holidays cannot be easy for all who knew her.

I'm so sorry for your loss. That is something that I have not experienced, that is, losing a coworker. Thinking of you and her family.
