Play

I read an article today on the importance of play for young children. In this world of computers, video games and such, some children are losing out on just Play. It mentioned "fort making". I immediately thought of Max, Lily, and Forrest and their tents they make out of my couch cushion and every blanket I own. Since I fill them up with popcicles and as much sugar as I can find, it is nice to know I am helping their development by letting them Play as much as they want to.....Here they are in the tent they built...

That is wonderful!! You are obviously an amazing grandma!!
I suppose in some ways, I am "old-fashioned" as my mom hints towards, but it drives me nuts how kids are so lost in the technology these days. I am trying so hard to keep our daughter away from it as much as possible. LOVE the fort making, I have tried a few times with baby girl, so far she loves to tear it back down and roll around in everything!!

My youngest daughter - lets the litte ones do this all the time.
At my home they are content with reading and games. Oh, we dance and act silly!!
