Happy Birthday Mama

Today would have been my Mother's 94th Birthday. This is a picture my brother took of us at Brian and Shannon's Wedding. I love it because you can see the happiness in our faces. One, because I was so happy Bri and Shan were married and I was so happy to be so close to my mother and having our picture made...to have this memory forever. I knew we were happy, but since we could not see ourselves, this is such a treasure to me.

I have mentioned my dreams in earlier posts. Last week I was having one of my dreams that was rambling. I was trying to get home from a wedding because I had to get up for work at 5am, no matter how I tried I could not get home and to bed. Finally I was in my bed, and my mother walked over to my bed and pulled the quilt over my shoulders very tenderly, like a mother does. I woke up the next day feeling she had really visited me.

She will always be with me, in my heart.

I love you, mama. I miss you still.
Beverly

What a sweet face popping out of the water.

Your and your mother's faces are equally sweet and you do look so happy. Memories like that are to be treasured forever.

Your Mom was ten years older than me because I turn 84 on Friday.

Oh, Beverly...what a beautiful tribute to your lovely mother.

I love the picture of the two of you...yes, your joy is palpable.

And...I love the photo at the top of your blog! Adorable. I wish that I knew how to do that with my blog!

Take care as you remember your mom today and always...

I am sure you dear mother payed you a visit in the night. I really believe that. My mother does the same to me. In my dreams. I've never had the experience of her pulling the covers tenderly over me in a dream, but it sounds to me like a blessing.

You do look happy in your pic with your mother. What a beautiful memory. Your mother shares a birthday with my granddaughter. She turned 13 on Sunday.

I also love the pic in your header. What a cute little munchkin popping his head up out of the water!

Beverly, You and your mother's faces are filled with so much joy.
What a beauty you are. Yes, we miss our mother's nearness, love and touch. NO one loves like a mother.
Your new header is great. The quality of the picture is so good.
Clearer then my headers.
Take Care.

Wendy, thanks for understanding my feelings.

Ernestine, you know how to always make me smile.

Thank you, all. You mean so much to me in so many different ways.

I came here via the comment you made on the post I wrote about my mom who died a year ago. Thank you for your kind words. I don't know when it was you lost your mom but I can see that you had a great relationship with her. That is a lovely photo of the 2 of you. How blessed we are to have warm memories of our moms.
Best wishes from one Beverly to another!

Oh, gosh, a Mother's love can't be beat. I always try to console myself saying I wouldn't miss Mom so much if she hadn't been such a great mom and friend. That dream was very touching.Oh, and I love the picture. you are both beautiful!

You are so lucky to have been so close to your mom. I've been much closer to my granny, who has been gone a while now. But she still keeps tabs on me, and often gives little bits of wisdom.
